- Parts of a Thalam and 3 Sthayis or Octaves
Level 2
- Geethams (10) in 2 speeds or at least 1 speed
- Divya Nama Keerthanam (1)
- Identify Raaga when Aarohanam/Avarohanam is sung (Geetham Ragas)
- Sing Aarohanam/Avarohanam when Raaga name is given (for Geetham)

Level 4
- Continue to learn Keerthanais and sing simple Keerthanais
- Sing Ada Thala varnam in 2 speeds
- Sing Nava Raaga Malika Varnam in 2 speeds
- Learn more Aadi Thala Varnam (2 Speeds)
- Learn to compose Raagam, Neraval and Kalpana Swaras for a Krithi
